THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a General Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis for a minimum of 8 sessions or 32 hours per week plus 1 session in an Urgent Care clinic approximately every 6-8 weeks.
With this role you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic team environment and some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking scenery on your doorstep.

THE PRACTICE and THE TEAM
You will be part of a busy semi-rural practice covering Picton and the Marlborough Sounds with access to Wairau Hospital and specialists located 25 minutes away in Blenheim. Cornerstone Accredited practice. The facility includes a pharmacy, consulting rooms, a surgery room, a triage area and car parks for more than 20 patients.

LOCATION
Picton is the gateway to the stunning Marlborough Sounds at the top of the South island/Te Wai Pounamu boasting NZs highest sunshine hours. Picton is the South Island base for the ferry service that links the main islands of New Zealand. 

Built around a very sheltered harbour, the town has an attractive seafront dotted with cafés, restaurants, various types of galleries. We have 20% of NZs coastline on our doorstep that includes the Queen Charlotte Track, countless outdoor opportunities of kayaking, sailing, hiking and mountain biking, a ski field and mountains 115km away. 

Picton has three schools. Picton School is a state contributing primary (Year 1 to 6) school, Queen Charlotte College is a state Year 7 to 13 secondary school and Waikawa Bay School is a state contributing primary (Year 1 to 6) school in Waikawa.
